The News4 Today team starts their day in the middle of the night. 😴 But do they believe in sleep divorce?

Sleep divorce is when couples commit to spending the night in separate rooms to get a better rest.

Consider these numbers from psychiatrist Dr. Joshua Weiner:

🥱 About 40% of couples say their partner prevents them from getting a restful sleep.
👃 Half of men and 25% of women snore.
💤 A quarter of couples never share a bed.

Does that math add up?

“Maybe [sleep divorce] is not as extreme as it sounds,” Weiner said. “We know how important sleep is. It affects everything about your health, physically as well as emotionally.”
