Portland firefighters express grief , resilience after deadly ambush kills two in Idaho

After a gunman fatally shot two Idaho firefighters who were responding to a wildfire near Canfield Mountain just north of Coeur d’Alene, Portland Firefighters Association President Isaac McLennan spoke about the widespread impact to firefighters across the nation.
The Portland Association of Firefighters says many local departments are still reeling after learning of the killings.
"My heart just sank. It’s an absolute tragedy to learn about this horrific incident. It just absolutely breaks my heart for the community and for the firefighters and their families," said McLennan.
