Brian Kohberger to accept plea agreement in Idaho college murders trial, avoiding death penalty

ABC News first reported that Bryan Kohberger has agreed to plead guilty to all four counts of first-degree murder in exchange for removing the death penalty.
A letter sent to families explains that Kohberger would accept four life sentences and would waive the right to future appeals. Kohberger is accused of killing four University of Idaho students in November 2022: Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, Ethan Chapin, and Madison Mogen.
