Black History Month: Honoring St. Augustine dentist, civil rights leader Dr. Robert Hayling

Dr. Robert Hayling, who was originally from Tallahassee, graduated from Florida A&M and went on to become an officer in the Air Force as well as a dentist who served Black and white patients in the 1960s. He also worked closely with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to desegregate the nation’s oldest city.
He died in 2015 at 86 years old.
