City of Vancouver to stop camping at sound wall near downtown

The city of Vancouver is going to close the West Mill Plain Boulevard sound wall to campers starting March 5, under an emergency declaration.
Dozens of people who live outside the sound wall near downtown will have to pick up and move.
The city of Vancouver offered shelter to campers. Many refused the help, though almost half accepted it. Two people have been ineligible for housing so far. We’re working to confirm what made these campers ineligible.
