President Trump meets Italian PM Georgia Meloni at White House to talk tariffs, trade, the EU & more

talian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni may have been the only leader in Europe who could break the ice between President Donald Trump and the European Union after transatlantic trade was destabilized by the president’s tariffs. The conservative populist has even been called the "Trump whisperer."

Within minutes of her arrival at the White House on Thursday, Trump said there will "100%" be a trade deal with the EU by the end of his self-imposed 90-day deadline.
