ODOT continues work in Prineville to make ADA sidewalk enhancements

In 2016, the Association of Oregon Centers for Independent Living, along with eight individuals and seven communities, filed a lawsuit against ODOT regarding Americans with Disabilities Act compliance, specifically curb ramps and pedestrian signals on state highways. The lawsuit alleged that ODOT had failed to ensure these features were ADA compliant, leading to accessibility issues for people with disabilities.
