Portland mayor, Oregon governor push to waive hefty developer fees to speed up construction

Portland Mayor Keith Wilson joined Oregon Governor Tina Kotek on Thursday in calling for a pause on ‘system development charges.’

They are one-time fees used to cover city infrastructure that supports those new housing units, such as sewer, roads and parks.
