The deadline to get a REAL ID is fast approaching after years of postponements and delays. Starting this week Wednesday, May 7, your license or identification card will need to be REAL ID-compliant to fly domestically in the U.S. DMV offices around the country saw long lines over the weekend, including the Illinois Secretary of State facility at 9901 South Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Roseland, which was taking both pre-booked appointments and walk-ups.
