Beaverton Police seek driver who hit motorcycle rider in apparent road rage crash on Highway 26

A motorcycle rider is in the hospital after being struck by a driver during a road rage incident on Highway 26 westbound in Beaverton on Monday morning.

The crash happened at about 6:15 a.m. Monday on the Sunset Highway between the Highway 217 interchange and Cedar Hills Boulevard.

Initial reports state that the crash might have been a road rage interaction between a blue late-model Kia Carnival and a motorcycle rider.

Video shows the Kia driver veer into the motorcycle rider, pushing him across traffic. The driver then sped off.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries; no word on the rider’s current condition.
