Students at Portland State protest activist who’s against trans-athletes in sports

Students at Portland State University are protesting as conservative speaker Riley Gaines is set to speak at a public event on campus.

Protesters say they take issue with Gaines talking about how she believes transgender women shouldn’t play on women’s sports teams.

The student group that organized the Gaines’ speaking event, Turning Point USA, says on its website that Gaines is standing up for women by her stance that transgender women shouldn’t be allowed to compete on women’s sports teams.
