LIVE: Group sues Florida over new ballot initiative law, wants to expand Medicaid

Florida Decides Healthcare and the Southern Poverty Law Center hold a virtual news conference to announce they are suing the state of Florida regarding HB 1205 which adds restrictions, limits and penalties to groups attempting to put constitutional amendments on the ballot.

Florida Decides Healthcare says their goal is to pursue a State Constitutional Amendment to expand Medicaid in Florida.

Over in Brevard County, jury selection is underway in the trial of Karly Anderson, a teacher accused of partying with underage kids at a home in Cocoa Beach. She faces charges of disorderly conduct and disorderly intoxication and rejected a plea deal.
