LIVE: Port Orange Police Department Shooting Update

Authorities are investigating a shooting that took place near the intersection of Taylor Road and Williamson Boulevard. The incident prompted a police response, but officials have confirmed that the situation is no longer active.

All individuals involved — both victims and suspect(s) — have been identified and are accounted for as law enforcement remains on the scene to investigate.

The scene, located in a shopping plaza that includes a Walgreens and a Waffle House, drew a crowd of onlookers. Witnesses told FOX 35 News they were inside the Walgreens when a person entered the store asking for a manager before shots were fired.

Several officers remained at the scene alongside a medical examiner’s vehicle, and yellow police tape cordoned off the area.
