Southwest Portland neighborhood divided after forcing out woman living in trailer

If you saw our story on “Samantha” last year, you remember the festering divide between housed neighbors and those who live on the Southeast Portland street.
Samantha slept in a trailer with her two cats, right on the street corner in this quiet neighborhood. She also parked a car there.
But this week, a neighbor very close to Samantha’s trailer, who didn’t want to appear on camera, told us that she had been parked in that spot for 355 days. He was fed up, took his complaints to various city officials, and within days Samantha and her trailer were gone.
