Many flock to Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe to give thanks in prayer for new pope

Chicago-area Catholics continued to pray and give thanks for the selection of Pope Leo.
Cardinal Robert Prevost was elected Thursday as the first American pope. Prevost was born in the Chicago area.
Many faithful flocked to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Des Plaines Thursday after hearing the news.
Shrine staff says they’re weekly mass will go on as at 7 p.m.
