Stopping Gun Violence: Building bonds with neighbors in a key to prevention, advocate says

It may feel like there’s been more incidents of gun violence in the city of Gresham. At least, that’s what some members of the community are telling us.

On Tuesday morning, there was a shooting in which a homeowner said roughly 18 bullets went through her home.

Just a couple of weeks ago, a teen was killed by a stray bullet.

That’s why we’re taking a closer look at gun violence in Gresham. The numbers show that, actually, the number of shooting-related calls from January to April for each of the past five years is trending downward.
