Elgin honors fallen heroes with multiple ceremonies on Memorial Day

The day began with a ceremony at Mount Hope Cemetery. There was also a service to honor those buried at Lakewood Memorial Park. A program conducted by the Elgin Navy Club and the Elgin Marine Corps League was held at Veterans Memorial Park and honored veterans interred at sea.
