Proposed federal funding cuts are hitting home in Lake County, especially when it comes to the blind.
The Foundation Fighting Blindness, a Maryland-based non-profit organization that organizes the Chicago Vision Walk, fears clinical trials and promising new treatments for blindness and retinal disease will be frozen or cancelled if President Donald Trump’s "Big, Beautiful Bill" passes into law.
