Governor Kotek outlines 2025 legislative priorities
1 min read
Governor Tina Kotek has unveiled her legislative priorities for the 2025 session, emphasizing continued efforts to address homelessness, housing supply, mental health, addiction care, and educational outcomes for Oregon’s K-12 students.
Kotek said her agenda will build on her previous pushes to increase housing production and get people off the streets. Her housing priorities include legislation to boost "middle housing" options, create stronger pathways to home ownership, and establish a Tribal housing grant program.
She also aims to set statewide shelter program standards and fund the infrastructure necessary for new housing.
