1 min read
FBI investigators released new information, Thursday, about a series of ballot box fires in Vancouver and Portland just before the 2024 Presidential Election.
According to investigators, the suspect used thermite as the explosive material in these crimes. The FBI also warned that the suspect could be a danger to themselves and the public.
Thermite is a powdered substance capable of reaching 4,000 degrees. The FBI says this could be very dangerous.
The first ballot box fire happened on Oct. 8, 2024. The other two were on Oct. 28. KATU captured video from the Vancouver fire on Oct. 28.
