Movie theater ceiling collapses during showing of new Captain America movie in Wenatchee, Washington

Two viewers attending a showing of the new Captain America movie at Liberty Cinema were thrown into an action movie of their own when the ceiling collapsed during the film.

Wenatchee Valley firefighters from Local 453 were called to the theater around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, where they were able to piece the story together.

Only two people had been inside the theater at the time watching the movie, and during the film they heard strange noises – but were unsure if the noises were coming from the ceiling or the movie itself.

When they went to investigate, the ceiling collapsed near where they had been sitting.
