Multnomah County opens 13 new sobering stations at deflection center

At a news conference on April 23, Multnomah County announces the opening of 13 new 24/7 sobering stations at the Coordinated Care Pathway Center. These stations provide an alternative to jail and emergency rooms for acutely intoxicated people and connect them to recovery resources.
This expansion is a key step toward a permanent Sobering & Crisis Stabilization Center with up to 50 sobering and withdrawal management stations by Fall 2027.
