President Trump says his administration will offer $1,000 to illegal immigrants who “self-deport”

In his first 100 days in office, President Donald Trump has deported about 66,000 people.

It’s far fewer than he had hoped, and much less than the Biden Administration was averaging during his last year in office.

Now, the President appears to be ramping up a new plan to encourage people to leave the country on their own, offering them a new incentive to do so, $1,000.

At the White House on Monday, Trump said, “What we thought we’d do is a self-deport where we’re gonna pay each one a certain amount of money and we’re gonna get a beautiful flight back to where they came from.”

His Administration is bringing about new perks and punishments for people who entered the country illegally to leave with the help of the U.S. government.
