Portland might increase city parking rates. Here’s what you need to know.

The Portland City Council will vote Thursday on a proposed 25% increase to the city’s parking rates.
Officials with the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) say the increase, if approved, would raise revenues by an expected $6 million per year.
Parking fees would also go up 25% in certain districts, including Central Eastside, Downtown, the Lloyd District, and Marquam Hill.
