Children safe after Amber Alert leads to arrest of Oregon mother in central Washington

UPDATE: Washington State Patrol arrested an Oregon mother early Tuesday morning after she and a companion are accused of abducting her two children and driving them across state lines in a stolen car.
The two children, who are 2 and 3 years old, are safe and in protective custody, WSP said.
Detectives say 26-year-old Trayviana Shoulders kidnapped her two children at about 7 p.m. Monday from an apartment in Southwest Portland. While she is their biological mother, she does not have custody rights and authorities said the children were thought to be endangered.
An Amber Alert was issued for the children shortly before midnight. Law enforcement said she was likely traveling with the kids in a stolen blue Mazda CX-5, and was accompanied by 29-year-old Adan Osman Abdi
Washington State Patrol troopers caught the pair with the children as they were driving the stolen Mazda in Grant County early Tuesday morning.
