Oregon’s Next Adventure outdoor retailer is closing after 28 years

An Oregon staple, Next Adventure, an outdoor retailer, is closing all four of its locations later this year.

Starting on May 28, they’ll start an "everything must go" sale that will end when they’re out of inventory.

We spoke with the two friends who opened Next Adventure nearly 30 years ago.

Our first question to Deek Heykamp and Brian Knudsen was, “Why close now?”
