FAA identifies pilot killed in Prineville helicopter crash

The Federal Aviation Administration has identified the pilot killed in a helicopter crash near the Prineville Airport earlier this month as 80-year-old James Scheller of Powell Butte. The crash occurred on May 17. A 46-year-old man who was in the passenger seat survived but sustained major injuries. No one on the ground was hurt. The FAA continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
