15 years later: Community keeps Kyron Horman’s memory alive on social media

Wednesday marks 15 years since Kyron Horman disappeared from Skyline Elementary School in Northwest Portland.

According to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, the case remains an active investigation as they work to digitize thousands of pages of reports, photos, and evidence.

“To have a boy this age, vanish from a public school is obviously any family’s worst nightmare," Former Prosecutor Norm Frink said during an interview with KATU News.

Frink worked on the case, and remembers how "frustrating" it was to have retired without a resolution.

KATU News is taking a closer look at the case with a special report airing on the anniversary of Kyron’s disappearance. “The Unsolved Mystery of Kyron Horman" airs this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
